چکیده
The paper deals with the problem of explaining origin and nature space-time variations in magnetic activity Sun. It presents a new hydrodynamic model solar cycle, which uses helioseismological data on differential rotation convective zone. is based hypothesis emergence global flows as result loss stability differentially rotating plasma layer First, are calculated without accounting for effect field them. Under this condition, it shown that solutions found describe all observed surface Sun: permanent meridional circulation from equator to poles, torsional oscillations flow. Predicting solar cycle 24 with a solar dynamo model.
Whether or not the upcoming cycle 24 of solar activity will be strong is being hotly debated. The solar cycle is produced by a complex dynamo mechanism. We model the last few solar cycles by "feeding" observational data of the Sun's polar magnetic field into our solar dynamo model. Our results fit the observed sunspot numbers of cycles 21-23 reasonably well and predict that cycle 24 will be abo...
متن کاملCharacteristics Of A Magnetic Buoyancy Driven Solar Dynamo Model
We have developed a hybrid model of the solar dynamo on the lines of the Babcock–Leighton idea that the poloidal field is generated at the surface of the Sun from the decay of active regions. In this model magnetic buoyancy is handled with a realistic recipe wherein toroidal flux is made to erupt from the overshoot layer wherever it exceeds a specified critical field (10 G). The erupted toroida...
متن کاملTurbulent magnetic pumping in a Babcock-Leighton solar dynamo model
Context. The turbulent pumping effect corresponds to the transport of magnetic flux due to the presence of density and turbulence gradients in convectively unstable layers. In the induction equation it appears as an advective term and for this reason it is expected to be important in the solar and stellar dynamo processes. Aims. In this work, we have explored the effects of the turbulent pumpin...
متن کاملKinematic solar dynamo models with a deep meridional flow
We develop two different solar dynamo models to verify the hypothesis that a deep meridional flow can restrict the apperance of sunspots below 45 degrees, proposed by Nandy & Choudhuri (2002). In the first one, a single polytropic approximation for the density profile was taken, for both radiative and convective zones. In the second one, two polytropes were used to distinguish between both zone...
متن کاملVariations of the solar cycle profile in a solar dynamo with fluctuating dynamo governing parameters
Context. Solar cycles vary in their amplitude and shape. There are several empirical relations between various parameters linking cycle’s shape and amplitude, in particular the Waldmeier relations. Aims. As solar cycle is believed to be a result of the solar dynamo action, these relations require explanation in the framework of this theory. Here we aim to present a possible explanation of such ...
